Nagwa Emad

Nagwa Emad, Founder of Media Waves – a PR firm in Egypt, is a renowned communication expert with more than 25 years of professional experience in Egypt, the Gulf States and England.

She holds a B.A. in English Literature. Emad is a certified media trainer from England. Her work experience includes the Ministry of Information and multinational organizations. Emad has also managed communication on regional levels mainly with Google, EU programs and the UNDP/ICTDAR program.  

She has expertise in creating communications strategies and media planning initiatives to raise awareness and influence public perceptions. She tailors the formula for developing and executing effective media solutions.

Throughout her career, Emad has worked on a wide variety of accounts, most notably, the launch of Google in the Arab region, the transformation of Click to Vodafone and the transformation of Pharaoheya Insurance to AIG Egypt Insurance. She also acted as a key player in promoting the national campaign “Reading for All.”

Emad has a large network of relations with Egyptian and regional businessmen working in different fields such as ICT, tourism, insurance, economy and health.

Emad is currently the National Chair of Egypt for the International Public Relations Association (IPRA). She is also a member of the Foreign Press Association (FPA), the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), the British-Egyptian Business Association (BEBA), the German Chamber of Commerce (GCC) and Canada Egypt Business Council (CEBC). 

Emad is a prominent contributor to civil and community services through a number of NGOs. She is the President of the Cairo Capital Lions Club.
