William Davies works as the Academic Director at the Centre for Mutual and Employee - Owned Business, Kellogg College, University of Oxford, United Kingdom.  His research is in economic sociology and focuses on theories of ownership, the history and implementation of neoliberal policies, and the role of economic experts in public life. He was awarded his Ph.D. in Sociology by Goldsmiths, University of London in 2009, and was formerly a Research Fellow at the Institute for Science Innovation & Society, University of Oxford.
